Natural Health Product License
Health Canada 규정에 따라 Natural Health Product로 분류되는 식품은 Product License를 취득해야 합니다.
Company code 발급 신청 -> Application 제출 -> Natural Health Product license 취득(NPN번호 발급)
Company code 발급까지는 통상적으로 2주 소요되며, Natural Health Product license 발급기간은 Health Canada에서 60일로 정했으며 통상적으로 60일 이내 완료됩니다.
Natural Health Product license 완료 후 발급된 NPN(Natural Health Product Number)를 제품 라벨 전면에 기재해야 합니다.
FCE/SID
21 CFR Part 108 | FCE(Food Canning Establishment), SID(Submission Identifier) : 수분활성도 0.85 이상의 산성화식품 또는 저산성 식품의 제조, 가공, 또는 포장에 참여하는 기업은 제품 생산에 적용되는 공정절차를 FDA에 제출해야 합니다.
21 CFR Part 113.3(n) | LACF (Low Acid Canned Food) : 완제품의 최종 평형 pH가 4.6 초과인 식품을 의미
21 CFR Part 114.3(b) | AF (Acidified Food): 완제품의 최종 평형 pH가 4.6 이하인 식품을 의미
산성화 식품은 제품의 가열 살균 공정으로 SID 진행이 가능하며, 저산성 식품은 SID 등록 요건 부합 여부 사전 검토, 자료 보유 여부 확인 후 업무 진행 가능합니다.
SFCR license
SFCR license는 “캐나다” 업체에 요구되는 사항입니다. 국내 제조사가 SFCR license를 취득하실 필요는 없으며, 국내에서 캐나다 현지 법인을 설립하여 유통하고자 하는 경우 SFCR license 업무 필요합니다. SFCR license 취득 후 매 2년 갱신 요구되며, SFCR license 취득 시 CFIA fee 발생됩니다.
NDI/GRAS

NDI, Self-Affirmed GRAS, GRAS 업무 진행에 앞서 GAP 분석을 실시하며, 통상적으로 제출에 필요한 자료 목록은 아래와 같습니다.
• Copy of the Manufacturing Protocol and flowchart
• Finished Ingredient Specification
• Certification of Analysis of the finished ingredient
• A copy of the batch record, if available
• Identity and characterization data, all certificates of analysis and the qualified methods reports for starting raw materials and in-process testing/materials if applicable
• All finished ingredient characterization information, including method validation/qualification reports
• Specifications of all starting raw materials
• Test Results of all starting raw materials
• Solvent information used for extraction – percentage of solvent, specifications, and test results
• Water grade information (e.g. DI water, USP purified, potable) – Need water qualification reports/test data
• Manufacturing work flow; detailed manufacturing process of this Astaxanthin ingredient (SOP, Manufacturing control and process parameters, list of equipment used)
• Batch production records (at minimum 3 batches, ideally 5 batches) with associated COAs
• Any stability or shelf life data, stability protocols, even interim stability reports or final reports that adhere to ICH guidelines, and the final stability report for at least one of the above mentioned lots to be submitted
• History of use consumption data in any foods marketed outside US if available
• All safety and toxicity study reports that have been performed on one or more of the specific lots of the ingredient that is to be included in the GRAS dossier.
